Functions: TRUE RMS - the meter displays the true effective value of the alternating voltage/current. Unlike averaging meters, devices with TRUE RMS display the correct value not only for a sinusoidal waveform, but also for distorted sinusoidal waveforms, e.g. higher harmonics or square or triangular waveforms. A mandatory function wherever there are switching power supplies, motor inverter drives, HVAC installations, etc. in the circuit.
NCV - non-contact detection of alternating voltage by inductive method. The meter detects the presence of voltage in an insulated wire using the NCV sensor on the front of the device
AUTO - automatic adjustment of the measurement range (one measurement is enough), activated by default. In the case of measuring unknown values using a meter with manual range change using the knob, measurements should be performed successively from the largest range to the range giving the most accurate result - otherwise we risk damaging the device.
RANGE - manual change of measurement range, useful when checking many identical components with known values, e.g. a series of resistors. Manual setting of the range will significantly shorten the time of such measurements
REL - using the function during measurement will zero the display and accept the value visible before the display as the reference level. The next measurement will show the difference between the measured value and the stored reference value
SEL - change of measurement mode, e.g. from AC to DC voltage measurement
MAX/MIN - save the maximum or minimum value from the current measurement on the display
HOLD - save the currently measured value on the display
